How the Exaltation Forge works

The Exaltation Forge lets you raise the tier of equipment, adding effects like Onslaught (weapons), Ruse (armor), Momentum (helmets), Transcendence (legs) and Amplification (boots). Each item has a classification (1 to 4) that sets the maximum tier: Class 1 → tier 1, Class 2 → tier 2, Class 3 → tier 3 and Class 4 → tier 10.

Normal fusion × Convergence: which is cheaper?

In normal fusion you fuse two identical items of the same tier: there's a 50% chance of success (up to 65% by spending an Exalted Core) and, on failure, one item drops a tier (chance reduced to 50% with a protection core). Convergence (Class 4 only) has guaranteed success, but costs far more gold and grants no bonus. This calculator compares the two paths and shows which comes out cheaper with your market prices.

How much does each tier cost to forge? (Class 4)

Average estimates to take one Class 4 item from tier 0 to the target tier. The item, attempt, core and dust counts are fixed by the game mechanics — the final gold cost depends on your server's prices, so use the calculator above for the exact number.

Without cores, fusion needs far more items (e.g. ~17,711 base items and ~21,890 attempts for tier 10), but saves the core cost. The “gold” in the tables is only the game's forge tax — you still add the base items and cores at your server's prices.

Food item and transfer: how to save gold

A food item (fodder) is a cheap item of the same slot and class used as fuel. In convergence, each step consumes 1 food at the main item's current tier. Instead of forging expensive pieces (e.g. Falcon Plate), many players forge or buy cheap items (e.g. Cobra Hood) up to the needed tier and use transfer to pass the tier to the main item — saving millions. The calculator already compares forging × buying the food and points out the cheapest path.

Why the cost is an average

Since each failure degrades the item, the spend to reach the desired tier is a probabilistic process. The calculator uses an exact closed-form formula for the average cost and a Monte Carlo simulation for the distribution — so you see the typical cost (median), the lucky day (p10) and the unlucky day (p90), plus the base items, dust and Exalted Cores needed.

Dust, Slivers and Exalted Cores

The forge consumes Dust (100 per normal fusion, 130 for convergence) and, optionally, Exalted Cores. Each core is made from 50 Slivers, and 3 Slivers come from 60 Dust. In the market prices you enter the value of the item, the core and the sliver to estimate the total cost in gold and in Tibia Coins.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to forge an item to tier 10?

For a Class 4 item in normal fusion with cores, the average is about 2,176 base items, 2,926 attempts and 5,852 Exalted Cores (plus ~148 kkk in forge tax alone). The total gold cost easily passes 150–200 kkk, depending on the item and core prices in your world. Without cores it's ~17,711 base items. Use the calculator above for the exact value.

Normal fusion or convergence: which is cheaper?

Normal fusion is usually cheaper in gold, but it's random (bad luck makes it pricier). Convergence costs more gold, but is 100% guaranteed and exists only for Class 4 items. For very expensive items, forging cheap food items and using transfer is often the most economical.

What is a food item (fodder) in the forge?

A food item is a cheap item of the same slot and class used as fuel. You forge or buy the food at the needed tiers and consume them to raise your main item's tier — in convergence, 1 food per tier. It's the cheapest way to forge expensive gear.

Is the Exaltation Forge worth it?

It depends on the tier bonus (Onslaught, Ruse, Momentum, Transcendence or Amplification) and your budget. Low tiers (1 to 4) are affordable and give good value; high tiers cost billions of gold. Simulate it in the calculator first to decide.

How many Exalted Cores do I need, and how do I make them?

1 Exalted Core = 50 Slivers, and 3 Slivers come from 60 Dust (1 core ≈ 1,000 dust). A Class 4 tier 10 with cores consumes about 5,852 cores. Cores only matter in normal fusion (success/protection) — convergence uses no cores.

What is transfer in the forge?

Transfer moves an already-forged tier from a cheap item to another item of the same slot, destroying the source item. So you forge a cheap food item up to the needed tier and transfer it to your main item, saving gold on expensive gear.
